The next step after your first waves.
If you already stand up in the white water, our intermediate surf lessons take you out to the line-up. You work on duck-diving or turtle-rolling through the break, efficient paddling, reading sets, positioning at the peak and catching unbroken green waves, until you draw your first lines along the face.
El Palmar’s beach breaks are ideal for this stage: sandy peaks along 8 km of coast that change with the tide, and the best swells from autumn to spring. Your instructor surfs alongside you, chooses the right peak for your level and gives you specific feedback after every wave. Lessons are taught in English, Spanish, German, French and Italian.

If you can stand up and ride white water on your own and want to start catching green waves, the intermediate lesson is for you.
€35 for one 2-hour lesson. Packs: 2 lessons €65, 3 €90, 4 €115, 5 €135, 6 €155 and 7 €175.
A maximum of 8 people per group, so your instructor can give you feedback on every wave.
A board suited to your level, usually a softboard or a mid-length that makes it easy to catch green waves. Wetsuit included.
The most consistent waves arrive from September to June. In summer the sea is usually smaller, which is good for practising technique.
