Our beginner surf lessons are designed for people who have never stood on a surfboard. In 2 hours you learn how waves and currents work, how to paddle, how to pop up and how to catch your first waves in the white water, always with a qualified instructor next to you in the water.
El Palmar is one of the best beaches in Spain to learn to surf: 8 km of sandy beach on the Costa de la Luz, no rocks or reefs, and soft, consistent waves from autumn to spring. You only need to be able to swim. Lessons run every day of the year, morning or afternoon depending on the tide, and we teach in English, Spanish, German, French and Italian.

No. The beginner lesson starts from zero. You only need to be able to swim and want to have fun in the sea.
One 2-hour lesson costs €35. Packs: 2 lessons €65, 3 lessons €90, 4 lessons €115, 5 lessons €135, 6 lessons €155 and 7 lessons €175.
In 2 lessons most people stand up and ride their first waves in the white water. To surf on your own with confidence we recommend a pack of 4 to 7 lessons.
Not at all. Many of our students start surfing at 40, 50 or older. Lessons are adapted to each person’s pace and fitness.
There are morning and afternoon lessons. Times depend on the tides and sea conditions, so we confirm the exact time a few days before.
From age 11, yes. Children aged 5 to 11 take private kids surf lessons with their own instructor.
Yes. Our instructors teach in English, Spanish, German, French and Italian.
Swimwear, a towel and sun cream. We provide the surfboard and wetsuit, and there are changing rooms and showers at the school.
